Swedish Meatballs

1 pound ground turkey (or beef if you prefer)

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 tbsp. melted butter

2 cloves garlic

1/2 tsp. oregano

1/2 tsp. parsley

1/4 tsp. allspice

salt and pepper

2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/2 cup milk

any type of pasta noodle or potatoes (to serve over)

2 tbsp. butter or margarine

2 cloves of garlic

3 tbsp. flour

1  1/2 reduced salt or organic beef or chicken broth (both work)

3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup heavy cream

salt and pepper

1. To make the meatballs, put the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, butter, garlic, allspice, salt, pepper, Worcestershire and milk in a bowl.  Mix together with your hands until combined.  Roll them into 1 inch balls and place them on a cookie sheet covered in tin foil.  Bake in a 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for 20 minutes.

2. For the sauce, melt the butter and garlic in a skillet, then add the flour and cook, whisking for a couple of minutes.  Whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a simmer. Add in the cream.  Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer until the gravy thickens, about 10 minutes.  Season with salt and pepper.

3. Can serve over noodles or potatoes, add the meatballs and top with the sauce.
