Black Bean Burgers

Ingredients:

(makes 5 burgers)

1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed

1 green pepper, chopped

1/2 onion, diced

3 cloves of garlic, minced

1 egg, beaten

1 tbsp. cumin

1 tbsp. chili powder

1/4 tsp. chili or hot sauce

1 cup bead crumbs

1.Smash the black beans with a fork until it makes a thick paste.  In a food processor or magic bullet, beat the peppers, onions and garlic.  Mix the beans, vegetable paste and the rest of the ingredients together.

2.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and form the mixture into patties.  Bake for 20 minutes in the oven, 10 minutes on each side.
